Weaving sunny hills, ancient olive trees, a little medieval village with narrow streets and lots of stairs, a breathtaking panorama all over the underlying valley: this is the enchanting setting that gave birth to the famous Leonardo da Vinci.
Not far from the center, high on top of a hill, you might also visit the childhood home of Leonardo.
The small village of Vinci is very charming, and is characterized by a very special atmosphere; walking through its medieval alleys you could visit its scented wine cellars and dine in one of the typical restaurants, serving many local specialties, especially the tasty bistecca fiorentina!
Vinci is also famous for the production of Montalbano, a fine and appreciated Chianti wine.
