A True Tuscan Villa For Your Vacation
Elizabeth, the owner of this classical Tuscan villa, is the key to this beautiful vacation home, she brings to life her grandmother’s wishes to make Tuscany fun for everyone, both little and big. The four B&B double bedrooms located in the main villa are styled in an elegant décor with en suite bathrooms, and are approximately 30 to 35 square meters each. All the rooms have a comfortable double bed and will accommodate 2 persons except for the Green Room which has a double bed and a sofa bed for one person. As tradition would have it, the bedrooms are located on the third floor of the villa and each boast 3,5 meter ceilings, original terracotta floors and vintage furnishing from the early 1900’s. It is as if one stepped back in time and for this reason there are no TVs or mini bars in the rooms. The owner prefers to maintain the antique “feel” of the house. However there is a main room where one can relax and watch TV and the villa has a refrigerator available to the guests, to keep your special purchases of cheese from Pienza or chill your wine from Chianti.
In addition to the B&B holiday rooms there are 4 rental vacation apartments each with a fully equipped kitchen. These spacious apartments will accommodate from 2 to 6 persons and promise splendid views of the surrounding countryside. The owner opted to decorate the apartments in a classical country style, highlighting the contrast from the villa that dominates the Sinalunga hillside. Here you will see the traditional wood beams and the lovely stone work, as well as comfortable country styled furnishings. The holiday apartments all have access to the surrounding lush garden and the picturesque pool with its incredible panorama. Villa il Poggio also offers free bikes upon request and will arrange for horseback riding at their stables.
A Holiday Where You Feel at Home
The friendly and homey atmosphere is due to the owner and her naturally warm personality. As you stroll through the park, visit the horses, lounge by the pool or relax in the garden you can’t help but feel at ease. And with so much to do nearby, there is no need to leave all this behind. Cortona, Lucignano and Foiano are perfect examples of quaint Tuscan towns which are only a short drive from the villa and each will delight you with their historic setting, shops and restaurants.
An Excellent Position for Exploring
Close to major roads, Villa il Poggio is the ideal position for those looking to explore more than just Tuscany.
