The vacation home, La Certaldina in the heart of Tuscany is only a short distance from both Florence and Siena. Carved out of an antique villa, the vacation accommodations feature 8 independent apartments with a private garden.

The vacation accommodations are comprised of 8 private holiday apartments in the Villa and the Fienile, connected by a splendid veranda called La Limonaia and by a marvelous panoramic terrace which overlooks the Chianti vineyards.

A stay at the holiday apartment rentals at La Certaldina means both close contact with the amazing Tuscan natural landscape as well as easy access to many sites including Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, and many famous art treasures.

Carved out of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, the vacation accommodations are set in the villa, and the nearby barn which have been transformed into 8 comfortable and spacious self catering apartments. Connecting the two spaces is the common area La Limonaia, where groups, families, friends or couples can find space to simply relax and appreciate some quiet time in a classical Tuscan atmosphere.

A Genuine Tuscan Farmhouse

The 8 independent vacation apartments are suitable for families, couples and friends traveling together. There are two apartments with two bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. These apartments all have SAT-TV, internet and a private garden with spectacular views. There is a laundry room available for all guests, and the apartments are furnished with hairdryer, iron and iron board as well as all bed, bath and kitchen linens.

The main villa has five separate holiday accommodations, while the barn houses three apartments all comprised of one double bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchenette. The bathrooms are furnished with a sink, shower, WC and a bidet (except for one apartment in the villa). The bedrooms feature lovely four posters beds and a view of the grounds. Each apartment includes a sofa bed for an extra two persons.

La Limonaia is set above a marvelous panoramic terrace which overlooks the Chianti vineyards. This common room has a welcoming atmosphere for reading and relaxing and it is open to all of the guests at La Certaldina. The area is furnished with a fireplace and a library containing books about Tuscany and publications in various languages. Ask for a tasting of the local wines and Certaldina extra virgin olive oil, a unique experience to savor the true flavors of the area.

The swimming pool is totally immersed in a setting surrounded by olive trees. Among the many ideas to enjoy the park which surrounds the vacation apartments you can go out on horseback, stay at home and play darts, or for the younger children use the special playground, or even go fishing in the adjacent pond. La Certaldina has fishing rods for hire.

The local train station at Certaldo gives you the opportunity to travel to the larger cities without using the car.
