Less than 15 minutes away one can sun on the sandy coast of Viareggio or Marina di Vecchiano, the protected and beautiful beaches of Parco Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli. The Park offers many opportunities create memorable adventures exploring the natural beauty of the area - of maybe even a Roman ruin or two!

The 5 bed and breakfast suites all have a private bath and an assortment of sleeping arrangements ranging from couples on a romantic adventure or families with two children or even a group of friends traveling together will find a space that adapts to their needs. Depending on the weather, a rich, hearty breakfast is served either indoors or outdoors. The decor is simple yet, a perfect complement to the restructured farmhouse which now resides within the borders of the Massaciuccoli Migliarino San Rossore Natural Park.

The Casa Rossa farm specializes in the production of cereals, corn and grain as well as the raising of livestock (in particular cattle and pigs) and horses for riding. Their 10 apartments range from 4 bedroom/3 bathroom accommodation in the Casa Padronale to several one bedroom apartments for couples. They are located within the antique farmhouse and boast creative yet, spacious floor plans, respecting the natural characteristics of the original building. But this doesn’t mean they aren’t outfitted with modern day comforts such as WI FI access, and some even have air conditioning - ask the owner which apartment will best suit your holiday needs.

The warm friendly colors and homey decor only accent the Tuscan atmosphere, with its use of rich colors accenting the wood beams, terracotta floors and fresh breezes that float in through the windows … including lots of great natural light. The selection of antique styled Tuscany farm furniture adds to the warm environment, and you will immediately feel relaxed and at home as you walk into your holiday accommodations. Outdoors there are picnic areas and a BBQ grill for evening meals; enjoy the pool, or a dinner together or simply find a cool green, corner where you can catch a nap and maybe read a few chapters of your favorite book. A side trip to the lake at Massaciuccoli will have you strolling the nature boardwalk through the marshlands or admiring the Roman ruins and mosaic floors they left behind. Even going to the beach can be a family adventure at Forte dei Marmi or Viareggio with their many restaurants and umbrella lined coastline, waves, gelato and organized games.

Mix match your days between lazing by the pool, visiting the beaches or taking a day trip to visit the nearby cities. Lucca and Pisa offer lots of opportunities and sites to see. Just a little further and you will find the Certosa di Calci and even what is perhaps the first natural history museum ever! Just imagine the huge skeletons of whales and hands-on displays about dinosaurs. Even a trip out to Florence or Siena, can be an adventure if you take the train or bus from Pisa, though the proximity to major roadways makes it an easy drive to navigate.
