The Il Mugello farm is located in the Florentine hills in the splendid Mugello valley, about 35km outside of Florence.

Small and run by the Manetti family, the farmhouse offers 4 comfortable double rooms that become the perfect refuge at the end of a day spent visiting the nearby cities in Tuscany or enjoying the outdoors.

The wide open spaces that are part of the farm offer guests the possibility to rest and recharge in the peace of the Tuscan countryside, far from the sounds and business of a city.

"Il Mugello" is a working farm run by the Manetti family in Vicchio, in the Mugello valley located at the skirts of the Tuscan-Emilian Appennines.

Simone and Beatrice with their two sons, Salman and Amar, run the farm which grows organic vegetables, fruit and extra virgin olive oil.

Surrounded by the quiet of the countryside

The farmhouse Il Mugello offers four cozy double bedrooms, furnished simply but tastefully in rustic Tuscan style.

The rooms share 2 spacious bathrooms.

From the farmhouse, you can enjoy a splendid view of the hills covered with woods, chestnut trees from the Mugello that offer the area its famous "marroni" chestnuts as well as pasture land.

A great base for day trips to nearby cities as well as days spent outdoors

The farmhouse is surrounded by the extraordinary colors and scents of the Tuscan countryside, but just being 4km outside of Vicchio also means you're not cut off: in the small town, you'll find both grocery shops, a bakery, pharmacy and all of the basics needed for daily life.

Florence is just 35km from the farmhouse, making it very easy to reach with both a car as well as with trains and buses.

If you're here with your own car, you can reach many destinations: from the nearby Mugello racetrack and Bilancio lake to the small villages in the Mugello as well as Chianti and the main "cities of art" such as Florence and Siena, just to name two.

While you will want to visit the main destinations, Il Mugello is perfect for those that seek to mix both culture and art with time spent outdoors on their holiday. If you love to go hiking or mountain biking there are many marked trail paths nearby while the Bilancino lake is perfect if you love to go sailing, windsurfing or fishing. If you love golf, there is also the Poggio dei Medici golf club in Scarperia for you to spend a day on the green.
