The city of Massa is in north-western Tuscany and is located between the Apuan Alps and the Mar Ligure. The historical city center is at the feet of the 15th century Castle of the Malaspina family. The Duomo of Santi Pietro and Francesco, characterized by two arcades on the facade in white marble, deserves to be visited. Also Palazzo Ducale with its peculiar "U" shape deserves to be visited.
