The lovely Agriturismo La Valentina is immersed in the natural resever and park of Uccellina, in Maremma and it is only 3 km from the coast and the village of Talamone. A typical Mediterranean coastal landscape will be the setting of your vacation.

For those who enjoy sea, it is just a few minutes from the splendid beach of Talamone and Monte Argentario, where the clear, blue water is perfect for diving and swimming!

The farmhouse can sleep up to 37 persons, divided in 3 bedrooms, 7 apartments and one independent villa rental, most of them with independent entrances. You can attend educational visits of the organic farm on the estate and taste some of the best genuine products.

This historic setting along the Tuscan coast was an old convent formerly belonging to the Benedictine and Cistercian monks before being transformed into a farm growing organic crops, olive oil and rearing horses and cattle.  

At Agriturismo la Valentina you can choose between an independent villa rental, vacation apartments or bedrooms, 2 of which are equipped for disabled visitors. All of the rooms have been restored following traditional Tuscan style: stones on the exterior face while the interior has terracotta floors and exposed wooden beams. You can enjoy a rural atmosphere at the same time all modern comforts: living room, cooking corner and an outdoor barbecue.

Positioned only 20 meters from the main farmhouse is the newly restored Almond House, an independent vacation villa rental.  The apartment, reflects the same quality interiors and decor of with a Tuscan styled furnishings, has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms.  The living quarters are composed of a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a living room.  Guests at the villa enjoy full use of the grounds at the farm, the new restaurant area and the fabulous views. The structure can host up to 37 people and your pets are welcome.

The Splendid Location

Strategically located in the Park of Uccellina and only 3 km from the Tuscan beaches and sea, the agriturismo represents a perfect destination to meet everybody's expectations. Nature and animal lovers will be welcomed by 300 hectares of Mediterranean vegetation with olive trees, secular plants, grasslands and cultivated land, where you can admire many different kind of animals such as the deer, foxes and the typical horses of Maremma.

A few minutes from this setting is the beautiful Tuscan coast with the village of Talamone and other gorgeous landscapes dominated by blue seas and long sandy beaches. Talamone rises on a promontory on the border of the Park of Uccellina. Among its most beautiful monuments, we find the Rocca Aldobrandesca, an ancient fortification which dominates the sea up to Monte Argentario.

You can also visit the Torre delle Cannelle, north of Talamone, the Torre of Talamonaccio south of the Talamone Gulf, an area rich in Etruscan and Roman archaeological finds and the Etruscan Tempio of Talamonaccio which dates back to the fourteenth century B.C.

Activities and Surroundings

Agriturismo La Valentina now offers an area dedicated to providing delicous home cooked meals featuring the wholesome products from the their farm and the surrounding producers of wine. Meals, including breakfast, are available upon request.  In addition, during the season when they harvest the olives, it is possible to visit the new "frantoio", olive oil mill and watch the fascinating procedure...and of course maybe a bit of taste testing.

The area also offers the chance to take part in many activities in the open such as trekking, hiking, fishing, golf or even hunting as well as water activities such as windsurfing. All around, there is a vast territory to explore.

If you are keen on archeology, you can visit the Park of Roselle only 20 minutes from La Valentina, or even the Vetulonia and Sovana Park. In less than an hour’s drive, you can reach the center of Orbetello, Monte Argentario, Grosseto, Capalbio and the characteristics villages of Pitigliano and Sorano.

The owners of La Valentina organize educational visits to the organic farm, a perfect occasion for children as well as adults alike to learn something about the breeding and raising of free range animals as well as organic farming techniques and more.
