Modern accessories mingle with the rustic yet pleasant holiday accommodations to create an environment which invites you to be adventurous: tasting new flavours at the onsite restaurant and new sceneries at the many nearby towns and monuments.

Top 3 reasons you'll love Tenuta San Vito

  • 130 HECTARES OF VINEYARDS: the family run farm has been implementing organic methods since 1985 with their wines & olive oil
  • THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS: only a short distance from the main points of interest in Tuscany or from the private pool, a prime position for relax & sun
  • NO NEED TO COOK: between the onsite restaurant offering a typical Tuscan menu & the wine cellar, you will be surrounded by great flavours of Tuscany

Family Run Estate

The four completely restored Tuscan farmhouses have captured the essence of the territory where they are placed. The authentic flavours of the wine and olive oil - both accented by the decision to follow the regulations for organic farming in 1985 and the European standards in 1991 - are the driving force behind Tenuta San Vito. A family tradition since 1960, the vineyards and olive groves surround the B&B accommodations, the self catering holiday apartments and the vacation villa rental, assuring not only a stunning landscape but tranquility and silence.

There are two pools, each furnished with lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas and spectacular views. Though the family can boast one of the first agricultural holiday accommodations in the area, they have kept up with the times and each apartment has a safe, TV and fully equipped kitchen. All guests have access to the centrally located WiFi Hot spots. The rustic, yet practical decor was thought out to accent the old Tuscan farmhouses and their classical design.

The onsite restaurant offers a menu with typical Tuscan recipes, utilizing the fresh and genuine ingredients sourced locally. You can arrange for a price which includes breakfast or half board or you can opt to pay just for your accommodations and make use of the restaurant when you want to take a break and not cook. The grounds and the restaurant are ideal for organizing a destination wedding: the ceremony overlooking the estate vineyards, dinner at the restaurant and dancing poolside. The combination of rooms, apartments and a large villa provide many solutions for catering to the many needs of the guests.

Several Lodging Options

The restructuring of the farmhouse called La Querce, located near the pool and the restaurant, provides 5 self catering apartments with two and three bedrooms. The villa Bellosguardo lives up to its name, “beautiful views.” It’s dominant position makes excellent use of the various floors where everywhere you look you see the rows of grapes, the olive grove patchwork and the Tuscan horizon. The little villa i Cavalli, the first of its kind (agriturismo accommodation) in the area, is surrounded by the low lying forest that characterises the fertile soil in the Colle Fiorentino. Ask to reserve your place at a wine and olive oil tasting and a visit to the family wine cellars.

Discover Tuscany Closeby

Treat yourself to a panoramic drive thru the heart of Tuscany, using Tenuta San Vito as your holiday base, the local roads will reveal some lovely hidden gems for those passionate about history, art and nature. San Miniato, a town rising above the others - quite literally - is a magnificent example of Tuscan architecture through the years but also of one of its most prized culinary treats, the truffle. Certaldo, another fabulous hill top town, boasts an atmosphere of a town which stands still throughout time. It’s beautiful brick buildings and small cobbled stone roads make an excellent stop for photos. If you are a bit more into the outdoors, and enjoy being closeup to nature, Tenuta San Vito offers a wide range of trails for hiking and biking. But if you want to try your hand at paddle boarding or exploring the marshlands, then head over towards the Palude of Fucecchio.

Possible Day Trips From San Vito

The convenient position close to a major highway stretching east to west, encompassing Florence (less than 25 km) and Pisa, guarantees easy access to major cities and airports. The Pisa airport and the Leaning Tower are less than 60 km, and with just a few minutes more you can visit the Lake of Massaciuccoli or the sandy beaches of Tuscany. To the south, following the panoramic country roads you can visit Colle di Val d’Elsa and the city of Siena, awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. The city of Arezzo, often dubbed an open air museum with monuments ranging from the Etruscans to the Romans to Gothic and Neo-Classical, will introduce you to a collection of wines and local products that will capture your tastebuds.

Neri Gazulli, owner of Tenuta San Vito

Meet Neri Gazulli, the owner of Tenuta San Vito

The Tenuta San Vito is the property of Drighi Family. It was the Roberto (the founder) who laid the groundwork by planting vineyards and olive groves in 1960. They built the wine cellar and the olive mill and began commercializing wine and olive oil. In the beginning of the ‘80’s, thanks to the determination of Laura Drighi, one of Roberto’s daughters, the company went towards an organic cultivation with an official certification in 1985, and the CEE regulations in 1991. In 1985, the family began the restructuring of the Tuscan farmhouses and began working with the agriturismo with rental apartments, holiday villa, swimming pool and restaurant. Tenuta San Vito offers a special opportunity to experience Tuscany through their activity of wine and olive oil production.

Neri Gazulli, Roberto Drighi’s nephew, has taken over the farming and organic production and is directly responsible for the company using his enthusiasm and skills to maintain the same high quality that has been passed down over the years.
