An historical building

The bed and breakfast in Chianti is set in a ancient building of the late Renaissance, that overlooks the main square of San Donato. The building belonged to the patrician families of Ticci and Malaspina and since 19th century to Pellizzari family.

The building has been carefully restored preserving its original features as historical residence.

Palazzo Malaspina is located in the small medieval town of San Donato in Poggio, fully immersed in Chianti and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, and half way from Florence and Siena.

The beautiful towns of Castellina in Chianti, Radda and Gaiole in Chianti are close by the bed and breakfast.

In less than one hour driving from this elegant bed and breakfast near Florence , you can reach the famous art cities of Tuscany, such as Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo and the medieval cities of Certaldo and San Gimignano.

The bed and breakfast is within about 35 minutes driving from exclusive Ugolino's Golf club (18 holes).
