The farmhouse offers guests 7 spacious holidays apartments, with one or two bedrooms to accommodate from 2 to 4 people. The holidays apartments have been recently restored following traditional Tuscan furnishings and decor: each apartment shows proudly ceilings with wooden beams and ancient stone walls.
They are equipped with all main comforts, such as independent heating and a well-equipped kitchenette. The thick stone walls of the farmhouse keep the apartments cool, while open windows let the sea breezes come in. If you stay in the lower apartments and it gets warm, you might need to request a fan from the owner.

The location
La Valentina Nuova agriturismo in Maremma stands at the end of a long, beautiful driveway lined with marittime pine trees. The farmhouse is at the foothill of gentle hills with almost 3000 olive trees surrounding the estate, which the farm tranforms into extra virgin olive oil.
The farmhouse is located in the southern end of the Natural Park of the Maremma, also known as the Uccelina Park. La Valentina Nuova stands just 3 km from the exclusive coastal town of Talamone and about 10 km from Orbetello and its lagoon at the entrance into the Monte Argentario.
The apartments
The seven apartments are within the old farmstead, made of stone over two levels. Some apartments are for 2 while others can host up to 4 guests. All have their living/sitting area, TV, and small kitchen with the basics to make home cooked meals. A shared BBQ grill outside is perfect for preparing and then enjoying summer evenings meals at the outdoor tables. The apartments are rustic Tuscan style, with country style furniture, original stone visible on the interior walls, the ceilings supported by large wooden beams and terracotta tiles on the floor.
The farmhouse is perfect for families with kids who want to enjoy country life: there are wide open spaces all around the apartments for running around and nearby are also some horses while the owner has several dogs. Pets are obviously welcome and have lots of outdoor space for running around.
Nearby activities
The farmhouse is 3km from Talamone, where you can have an adventure and try windsurfing and kite-surfing.
It is obviously close to the coast so you can choose a different beach every day you are here, enjoying the sea and sun every morning. The farmhouse is also a great base to explore the coastal area of the Maremma.
First, since it is within the Natural Park of the Maremma, it makes sense to go on relaxing walks in the park (most require advance booking since it is a closed reserve; just ask Paola for help) to discover the natural and wild beauty of this area of Tuscany and its history. From the farmhouse you can see an old watch tower, there are several in the park: they were for sighting pirates off the coast!
You can also head inland toward the gorgeous small towns of Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano to explore these "cities" made in tuff rock as well as spend some time at the spa town of Saturnia where the outdoor waterfalls call your name. Go wine tasting in the Morellino di Scansano wine area, head to the port cities of Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole or head off in a ferry to explore the island of Giglio, just off the Monte Argentario coast.

Hello, my name is Paola and together with my 3 children and beloved pets (dogs, cats, horses and goats) we live at La Valentina Nuova, the working farm that belonged to my great-grandparents.
I spent many summers here while growing up and have many splendid memories of those days: from the many tractors and people who worked here to the times of seeding, sowing and harvest, all of them were real occasions for lots of people to come together.
Many years have passed and many things have changed, but I dream of maintaining a place such as this as authentic as possible so that others might have to opportunity to stay in a real setting of rural Tuscany.
We are within the protected area of the Natural Park of the Maremma and we have the utmost respect for all wild animals that still roam albeit in limited numbers - wild boar, deer, foxes and hares - even when they might cause some damage to our crops or gardens!
La Valentina Nuova is here waiting to share its genuine atmosphere, and while not luxurious, it offers warm hospitality and a comfortable apartment where you will feel at home.
