Castello Sonnino is located in Montespertoli, just 20 km from Florence and close to many beautiful villages of Tuscany such as San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo. This is also the perfect place to organize hikes and follow naturalistic routes through the gorgeous green hills of Tuscan that have been producing one of the best wines of the world for hundreds of years. Set on a Chianti hill, Sonnino is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees which give to the Castello the atmosphere and smell of the Tuscan countryside.

Guests can stay at Sonnino within the apartment set in the 13th century tower. Elegantly restored respecting the oldest traditional Tuscan style, it also offers a modern design to offer its guests all the comforts of a luxurious accommodation expected today. It is the perfect place where to spend your honeymoon.

The apartment is about 150 sq.m. and it offers two comfortable double rooms, a single bedroom, two elegant bathrooms and a beautiful living room. The apartment includes a fully-equipped kitchen, internet access, safety box and parking. Small pets are welcome at Castello Sonnino. Other highly appreciated characteristics of the tower are its two lovely gardens and its terrace in which you can spend a wonderful time in the open air.

A very prestigiuos Farm

The farm of Castello Sonnino is famous because of its precious production of wine, oil and liquors, where important sommeliers and oenologists following the day-to-day activity. The wine is produced using only grapes grown in the estate’s vineyards, which extend over 40 hectares of territory within the Chianti Montespertoli D.O.C.G. denomination set in 1997.

The exclusive restaurant of the farm also offers a well prepared staff of chefs who present the best of Tuscan cuisine, including the use of organic produce grown directly on the estate for the best flavor and taste, as well as supporting local sustainable development.

Wine tasting

The estate’s elegant and well-stocked wine shop is the setting for wine and oil olive tastings, generally accompanied by tastings of other delicious Tuscan specialties. This is a fantastic opportunity to sip a glass of wine surrounded by the green hills of Chianti.
