The property offers a large garden and two swimming pools, a regular sized one and a smaller one perfect for children. Centrally located to the south of Florence in Chianti, the country villa apartments are the ideal location for relaxing and visiting the main cities in Tuscany.

The property was originally a main villa with two other buildings used as cellars, shed and granary, all dating back to the year 1325. The whole complex today hosts 11 apartments and small villas, each with 2-3 bedrooms, some with an outdoor loggia and others with a small private garden. There is a large common garden, an outdoor oven area, the two swimming pools and rooms for breakfast.

Borgo della Meliana is one of the few farms in the area listed as a common "artistic and cultural heritage" and as it was restructured and restored it had to be done so respecting strict rules to safeguard the original historical building.

The villa apartments

The quality of the apartments is very high. Rooms have been furnished with painstaking attention to every detail in line with the style and taste of Tuscan houses: furniture and furnishing complements are mostly antique and have been found following a long and patient search in the area.

The eleven apartments are tastefully decorated, traditional materials have been used and warm shades of colour are harmoniously combined to give each room a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The area

Gambassi Terme is in the heart of Tuscany, in the center of a triangle formed by Florence, Siena and Pisa, all about 30-40 km away.

The area is dotted with ancient medieval villages and Etruscan town such as San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra.

The country resort

Guests at the villa apartments have two swimming pools at their disposal, a regular one and smaller pool with  a hydromassage jets that can also be used by children. Guests also have a laundry room in common with washers and dryers, a jacuzzi and solarium. A projection/meeting room is also available for anyone wishing to use the facilities.

In the local area, guests can go horseback riding, rent mountain bikes to explore the area or go golfing. Gambassi Terme is within Chianti so wine tastings are also very popular.

All of the apartments have a kitchen except for one.
