The decor reflects the beauty of the surroundings featuring country style furnishing, neutral colors and original architectural elements. At the same time, the agriturismo is organized to make the least possible impact on the environment, to safeguard their true patrimony.

The fresh air and the rich soil which provides a wide selection of fruit and vegetables make for an invigorating adventure on their farm, where everyone from young to old has the opportunity to participate. The farmhouse, restored to its original charm, is organized to accommodate groups of all sizes, especially those looking to engage in the beauty of Tuscany from the ground up. Couples, Families and Groups

The combination of guest rooms, self catering apartments and even an independent vacation villa allows for the guest to choose how they want to spend their holidays. There are four bed double bedrooms, each with their own particular personality and private en suite bathroom. These rooms come with the option of a breakfast, a wholesome affair with natural products from local suppliers. There is a small charge and it is best requested at the time of reservation. Breakfast, both a sweet menu with cakes and jams or a savory menu with cheese and salami, is not available the 1st of January and in the months of July and August.

There are several apartments varying in size, ideal for families with children, friends traveling together or even groups who have come to test biking in the countryside and Alessandro's knowledge of the surrounding trails. The apartment il Cipresso with three double bedrooms and three bathrooms, is the largest with approximately 140 mq. The two bedroom apartment L’Acacia, offers privacy and a fenced in private garden area. It features a complete kitchen, a double and a twin bedroom, a bathroom with shower and air conditioning. Il Pomo, also has two bedrooms (one with direct access to the garden), a kitchenette, TV, WiFi and it is located on the ground floor.

Privacy & Tranquility in the Countryside

Il Gelso, or Mulberry Apartment, is in the heart of the medieval farm and is comprised of a double bedroom, a large living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a bathroom with a shower. All apartments are furnished with WiFi access and a television, as well as all bath, bed and kitchen linens. The wrought iron bed, with its hand painted headboard, is a beautiful touch lending a distinct country appeal to the apartment. Recently restored is the one bedroom apartment i Pino, where you will find an elegant yet minimalist decor. Positioned on the ground floor, it features a cosy fireplace and a private fenced in garden.

The latest addition to Agriturismo il Molinello is the apartment L’Albicocco, completely restructured in accordance with bio-construction regulations and a Class A Energy standard. The travertine accents, neutral colors and private garden with BBQ make it a cosy addition to the farm. All apartments have access to the large garden area and the refreshing swimming pool, where they will find loungers for a bit of relax.

Independance for Large Groups

Only a short distance from main farm is the independent vacation villa rental Fornace del Molinello, a piece of history in itself since it was a furnace for lime rock in the early 1900s. It is comprised of 6 double bedrooms and 1 single room. There are four bathrooms, a large living room with a traditional Tuscan fireplace as well as a full kitchen and lots of outdoor dining space. Located on 6 hectares of land, you will find yourself immersed in a typical Tuscan landscape of olive trees and tranquility. The holiday rental has its own private pool and makes an ideal base for families or groups up to 13 persons. The villa features WiFi and a washing machine for the guests use.

Positioned in the land of the Crete Senesi and the city of Siena, Agriturismo il Molinello lends itself to exploring the beauty of southern Tuscany. This would include a visit to the suggestive town of Arezzo, with its lovely cobbled stone streets and small bottegas filled with antique treasure. Head even a bit more south and try the vineyards and wine cellars of Montepulciano which rival those of Chianti, just to the north in towns like that of Castelnuovo Berardenga.

But the true beauty of the Agriturismo il Molinello, other than the warm hospitality and awe inspiring scenery, are the small towns which populate the landscape and give this area of Tuscany a charm of its own. Serre di Rapolano, is only 2 km away (a short walk for those who love fresh air) and here you will find not only public transport (limited times) but restaurants, shops and depending on the month, fairs and markets. Closeby is the amazing Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, a large antique Benedictine monastery.
