The Cesani Farmhouse is set in the heart of Tuscany a few steps from the enchanting village of San Gimignano which dates back to the Middle Ages. The farmhouse offers all the simplicity of a country life during which guests can enjoy day trips to nearby towns or going for an outing through the soft hills of Chianti and the natural trails to enjoy the Tuscan countryside. Discovering the territory...

Pancole, the town where the agriturismo is set, is famous for its Santuario della Santissima Madre della Divina Provvidenza located along the renowned Via Francigena.

This ancient pilgrimage road also passes through San Gimignano, a medieval village only 6 km from the estate. Here guests can visit the cathedral, several museums and churches that offer characteristic atmospheres.

In less than half an hour’s drive, guests can reach other pretty historical cities such as Volterra and Certaldo or otherwise make their way to San Vivaldo, known as the “Jerusalem of Tuscany”, a cultural and religious center reproducing the history of Christ’s Passion.

Located halfway between Florence and Siena, Farmhouse Cesani is the ideal base from which to explore the two most important cities in Tuscany.

The working farm and sustainable agriculture

Bought by the family Cesani in 1949, the farm has always combined the family’s passion and product quality with economic sustainability to reduce environmental impact. Spreading out over 25 hectares, the fields are divided between olive trees and vineyards from which the farm obtains delightful extra virgin olive oil and wines like the Vernaccia of San Gimignano. The estate produces many other products derived from the processing of the main raw materials, olives and grapes: grappa, wine jelly and cosmetics based on olives following organic methods.

Activities and wine tastings

The owners of the estate welcome their guests with kindness and willingness to help and share with them part of their life. The agriturismo offers the opportunity to participate in various activities, from a visit to the wine cellars of the estate discovering the secrets of an ancient art and enchanting tradition generally unknown to the public.

Agriturismo Cesani organizes wine tastings and short classes on oenology as an introduction to the world of wine. The agriturismo also prepares delicious snacks with their products to offer guests the chance to taste all of the flavors of Tuscany’s specialties.
